Alexander Rose pioneered this design over 20 years ago. The beautiful wooden Turnberry benches all have a curved and elegantly slatted back, which fit to the shape of your body for ultimate comfort.
Oiled Mahogany
A dense and almost knot-free straight grain a beautiful oil applied on top, which gives a silky-smooth lustre.
If left untreated Oiled Mahogany will firstly darken, then mellow to a silver/ grey appearance. To maintain the finish we recommend applying our Cornis Oil annually to replenish natural oils and retain the reddish-brown colour of the timber.
Timber Care
Alexander Rose manufactures garden furniture which will last for many years. Over time, as part of the natural weathering process, cracks and splits will appear in the wood particularly on the end grain and to a lesser extent on the surface. The drier the wood, the more cracks will appear due to the evaporation of natural oils and minerals in the wood from exposure to the elements.
As with most hardwoods, this is a normal characteristic for any timber which remains outdoors. The timber furniture is designed with this in mind and its strength and durability will remain unaffected
